Under the Dome (Part 1)

On a beautiful fall day, the small town of Chester's Mill, Maine, is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and rain down flaming wreckage. Cars explode on impact. Families are separated and panic mounts. No one knows what the barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - if will go away.

Dale "Barbie" Barbara, an Iraq vet turned short-order cook, was eager to leave town forever; now he's trapped along everyone else. And when his commander calls on him from the outside the dome, Barbie becomes their only lifeline...
